Why Atrium Medical Center?
Getting patients back to the life they love is the goal of Atrium Medical Center’s orthopedics team. Whether it’s an all-star athlete, a busy parent or grandparent, a hard-working employee, or an active retiree, we can help identify the reason for their bone and joint pain, and recommend the most appropriate treatment, from physical therapy to minimally-invasive surgery to joint replacement surgery and rehabilitation.
When Experience Counts
As a Level III Trauma Center, Atrium provides immediate, comprehensive care for some of the most seriously-injured patients in our region. We have demonstrated our ability to provide prompt assessment, resuscitation, surgery, intensive care, and stabilization of injured patients and emergency operations.
Expert Orthopedic Care
Our orthopedic trauma team is available around the clock and will collaborate with other specialists throughout the hospital to coordinate care, such as trauma, emergency surgery, and critical care. Our team approach ensures that patients receive outstanding treatment for all of their conditions.
When Surgery Is Needed
At Atrium Medical Center, we thoroughly explore all options before recommending surgery. When surgery is needed, our experienced physicians perform a wide variety of procedures including joint replacement and surgeries on the spine, foot, ankle, shoulder, hand, and elbow.
Our dedicated surgeons and staff work to deliver excellent outcomes using advanced surgical technology and procedures.
The Atrium Medical Center Surgical Services division provides a full complement of outpatient and inpatient services for patients receiving orthopedic operative procedures.
These services are offered at Atrium Medical Center and The Ann and Arthur Bidwell Surgery Center is a stand-alone outpatient surgery center. Learn more about surgery at Atrium Medical Center.
The Ann and Arthur Bidwell Surgery Center is a multi-specialty facility located on the campus at Atrium Medical Center, and serves Warren and Butler Counties. This facility includes 15 recovery areas, and is designed with ample room for family support. The surgery center performs many outpatient procedures including orthopedic care:
- Arthroscopic surgery
- Foot/ankle surgery
- Fracture care
- Hand/wrist surgery
- Knee surgery
- Shoulder surgery
We use specially-developed, minimally-invasive techniques and computer-assisted surgery for precise placement and faster healing. This technique limits the impact of surgery on the body, so patients are on their way quicker and with less pain. This advanced technology, combined with our skill, leads to better outcomes – especially in complex cases.
For patients who require a joint replacement, our facilities are specially-designed to support our busy surgeons and ensure that patients receive the personal attention he or she needs and deserves. The specially trained surgeons are familiar with the many variables in joint replacement surgery, and are well-equipped to make the best decisions about care.
The center’s facilities are designed to provide everything patients need during inpatient recovery and rehabilitation. We offer private rooms with a flat-panel television. The experienced orthopedic nurses and staff help patients start moving, walking, and healing as soon as possible after surgery.
Our inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation program is by your side to provide innovative therapies that optimize patient outcomes. Our goal is to help patients build confidence, achieve independence, and then attain the highest level of desired functioning possible.
We have several conveniently located outpatient facilities throughout the community
