Emad Alshami, MD, Medical Director
Emad Alshami, MD oversees both inpatient and outpatient programs at the Pavilion. Dr. Alshami leads treatment teams to provide individualized behavioral health care for each patient. He is trained to care for the behavioral health needs of geriatric patients. He earned his undergraduate medical degree from Damascus University. He completed his residency at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and his fellowship at University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Alshami is board certified in geriatrics and chemical dependency by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Rakesh Kaneria, MD
Rakesh Kaneria, MD, oversees the psychiatric needs of both adults and geriatric inpatients, ensuring quality outcomes and supervising the team assigned to each patient. Dr. Kaneria earned his undergraduate medical degree from Gujarat University in India. He completed his residency and fellowship at University Medical Center in Cincinnati. Dr. Kaneria is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Percy D. Mitchell, Jr., MD
Percy D. Mitchell, Jr., MD serves as President of Medical Staff for Atrium. He has been on staff at Atrium (formerly Middletown Regional Hospital) for since 1991. He earned his undergraduate medical degree at Howard University in Washington, DC. Dr. Mitchell completed his internship at Chicago Wesley Memorial Hospital and his residency at St. Luke Hospital in Chicago. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
