After Your Stay

Atrium Medical Center (Atrium) provides ongoing care. After your stay, your Atrium physician will help arrange your special needs, home care, and more.

Going Home

Your physician will generally let you know a day or two before you will be released from the hospital. Before your dismissal, it’s a good idea to make a list of any questions you may have about your follow-up care.

When your physician has approved your release, your nurse will provide written instructions about your dismissal and follow-up care. A staff member or volunteer will escort you by wheelchair to the dismissal area and will help you into your car.
