Atrium Medical Center’s Family Birth Center provides modern birthing suites, a private spa, and individualized treatment and care. Our mothers-to-be are given comfort, support, and quality patient care during labor and delivery.

Atrium Birthing Suites
Our birthing suites have been designed to help mothers feel comfortable, with attractive décor, wall coverings, paintings, and hardwood floors. From labor to delivery, everything happens in this private, home-like environment. Each birthing suite includes:
- Bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and shower for hydrotherapy
- Rocking chair
- Flat-screen TV
- Wireless Internet access
- Special bars for pushing
- Birthing bed
- Free On Demand movies
- Birthing Bars
- Aromatherapy and Music Therapy
All suites are equipped with current medical technology, which is neatly tucked away out of sight until needed. A cozy seating area in the suite allows family and friends to stay nearby.
Pre-Delivery Examination Rooms
Expectant mothers who come into the hospital with contractions are usually examined by a doctor or nurse. Once it is determined that the mother is in labor, she is admitted to a birthing suite. Patients will also visit pre-delivery examination rooms (triage) for other reasons including non-stress tests, preterm labor, bleeding, or other issues.
Cesarean Section Rooms
When needed, we can quickly move patients into one of two C-section rooms, providing flexibility in emergency situations.
Private Spa
Our private spa, located in the mother and baby care area on the same floor, provides a massage table and large Jacuzzi tub for alternative therapies. Learn more.
Waiting Area
Right next to registration is the waiting area for family members and friends. Atrium Café, Kobricks (coffee shop) and additional vending machines are available nearby in the main lobby on the first floor.
