Atrium Medical Center Welcomes New Chief Nursing Officer
Middletown, Ohio, March 1, 2010 – Atrium Medical Center named Lisa Gossett vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer effective today. Since August 2007, Gossett has served as Nursing Director at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
“Lisa has a proven track record for successfully developing people and building teamwork across nursing,” states Douglas W. McNeill, president and CEO of Atrium Medical Center. “Her focus on high clinical performance and patient satisfaction aligns perfectly with our goals and objectives.”
In her previous role, Gossett was responsible for nursing financial operations, patient placement and capacity management, staffing and patient satisfaction. She also provided oversight of staffing for 28 patient care units, as well as maintaining responsibility for a 39-bed rehab unit.

Gossett began her career as a clinical nurse at Miami Valley Hospital. As her career progressed, she held roles of increasing responsibility, including Nurse Manager of the Neuroscience Unit and Nursing Director of Critical Care.
Gossett is a member of the Ohio and Dayton Organizations of Nurse Executives. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wright State University and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. Gossett serves as a Eucharistic lay minister, PSR preschool teacher and volunteer nurse at St. Luke School.
Gossett and her husband and two children live in Beavercreek.
