Volunteers are an important part of our team at Atrium Medical Center. They provide a personal touch that improves the quality of care our patients receive. At Atrium Medical Center and our offsite locations, we average more than 250 junior and adult volunteers assisting in more than 20 departments and service areasWith approximately 40,000 hours of service per year, our volunteers make a real difference to our patients, families, visitors and community.

Flexible Scheduling

Our volunteers range from high school students to retirees. We welcome anyone who has an interest in serving others in the community, and offer opportunities to accommodate those working outside the home full-time or part-time, full-time homemakers, students, or anyone who needs a more flexible schedule.

Most Atrium volunteers donate one half-day per week. Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend opportunities are offered. Many of our areas are staffed 24 hours a day. We have evening and weekend hours in our Emergency Trauma Center, nursing units, nutrition services, and many other areas throughout the hospital.
