Atrium Medical Center Currently Accepting Applications for Adult Volunteers
Middletown, Ohio, February 20, 2012 – Applications are being accepted for adults to volunteer at Atrium Medical Center. Currently, volunteers are needed in the following areas:
- Patient Services – Volunteers on these teams assist with dismissing patients, delivering flowers, taking bagged lunches to outpatient areas and helping with special projects as needed.
- Nutrition Services – Volunteers assist with delivering breakfast and lunch to patients, and helping stock supplies such as cups, plates, silverware and napkins.
Most adult volunteers serve three or four hours one day per week. To volunteer, adults must complete an application, interview and participate in a general volunteer/hospital orientation. They are then trained for their specific assignment by an experienced volunteer or by department staff. Benefits for adult volunteers include free parking and a complimentary meal on the days they volunteer, discounts at Atrium Medical Center Pharmacy and complimentary flu shots in the fall.
Those interested may access a volunteer application at www.AtriumMedCenter.org/volunteer, visit the Volunteer Services Department at Atrium or call (513) 420-5201.
