Atrium Medical Center Announces New Department Chair of Medicine
Middletown, Ohio, January 31, 2013 — Atrium Medical Center is pleased to announce that Marvin L. Ray, MD, has joined its medical staff leadership team as Department Chair of Medicine. Dr. Ray was elected by physicians on Atrium’s medical staff and will serve a three-year term. He joins the existing medical staff leadership team, which includes Barry Robertson, MD, President; Judith Burichin, MD, Vice President; David Miller, MD, Department Chair of Surgery; and Tom Straus, MD, Chair, Credentials Committee. All five physicians have their primary office locations in Middletown.

Dr. Ray has been a member of Atrium’s medical staff since July, 1998, and practices as a general internist with Middletown Medical Group. He completed his three-year internal medicine residency in 1994 at Wright-Patterson Medical Center in Dayton and received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1991 from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, Richmond, VA. Dr. Ray is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He and his family reside in Middletown.
Medical staff officers serve as liaisons between the physicians associated with Atrium Medical Center and hospital leaders. They ensure policies and procedures are enforced and collaborate with the hospital to ensure that all Atrium physicians meet quality standards.
