At the Wilbur & Mary Jean Cohen Women's Center, highly skilled and experienced radiologists with advanced training in the latest mammography and diagnostic imaging technologies lead our dedicated support team. Only female technologists with advanced mammography certification perform mammograms, and our breast care coordinator—a registered nurse—provides information and support for patients in need of breast biopsies.
Our competent yet gentle exams, following nationally recognized standards of care. And our health risk assessments and are offered by registered nurses who have many years of experience in the care of women.
H. Hugh Hawkins, MD, MHSA, FACR, Medical Director of Breast Imaging Services, Radiologist
Nationally known radiologist H. Hugh Hawkins, MD, has been with the Women’s Center since 2004. Understanding the need for quick answers, he personally meets with women following diagnostic exams to discuss their results. He earned his medical degree from the Loyola University Strathcona School of Medicine and a Master of Health Services Administration from Xavier University in 2003. Dr. Hawkins completed his residency in radiology at the University of Cincinnati. He is board certified and has more than 30 years of imaging, educational, and research experience.
Dr. Hawkins has also been an Instructor and Professor of Clinical Radiology at the University of Cincinnati and Director of Women’s Imaging at ProScan Imaging. He is certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and neurolinguistics programming.
Rhonda Seidenschmidt, BS, RT, (R), (M), Director, Medical Imaging
Rhonda received her AAS in Radiologic Technology in June, 1994, and received her BS in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix in June 2008. She is registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiography and mammography with more than 18 years experience in the field of radiology.
Rhonda has been with Premier Health since 2004. Prior to her current role, Rhonda held the position of manager of Ambulatory Imaging and Diagnostic Radiology at Atrium.
Phyllis A Rudokas, RN, BS, OCN, CBCN
As Breast Care Coordinator, Phyllis Rudokas provides emotional support, coordinates follow-up consultations and serves as a personal guide for women and their families throughout the medical process.
Phyllis has more than 18 years of practical experience in hospital and oncology care environments. She has been with Atrium since 1991, most recently as Clinical Research Coordinator. Phyllis has a Bachelors of Science degree in Health Education and earned her Oncology Nurse Certification in 1998. She was Dayton Community Clinical Oncology Program Nurse of the Year in 2005.
Margo Cox, PT, OCS
Physical therapist Margo Cox leads Atrium’s team that treats pelvic floor disorders. She has practiced as an outpatient physical therapist since 1990. Margo has a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from The Ohio State University and is certified as an orthopedic specialist. She has completed additional training in treating pelvic floor disorders at Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.
Margo is site coordinator for Atrium’s sports medicine and physical therapy services in Middletown. Active as a presenter and trainer in her profession, she has served as an adjunct faculty member at Andrews University/University of Dayton since 1999. Margo also is a member of the Atrium Family YMCA Board of Directors.
