Premier Health Plan Moves Forward
In March, Premier Health Plan was granted its Certificate of Authority by the Ohio Department of Insurance. As we move into 2015,
the certificate was necessary for expanding the efforts of the providers of the Premier Health Group (PHG) network in improving the
health and wellness to more members of our communities, beyond the 18,000 covered lives with Premier Health Employee Benefit Plan. The
PHG network has now grown to over 3,000 providers, including more than 2,200 physicians and mid-level providers.
PHG successfully launched a complimentary four-session collaborative of primary care physicians in March, educating them on topics
such as issues of population health; evidence-based management and metrics; change management; and leadership. A lead primary care
physician (PCP), along with a lead nurse and manager, comprised each office team. They volunteered six hours of their time, and will be
attending three more sessions over the next year. PHG sponsored the speakers from Evolent Health and advisory board, and provided the
facilities and food and CME credit. More than 140 PCP offices were represented. We are extremely proud and excited about the
leadership shown by the PHG physician network in transforming care delivery in southwest Ohio.
