Investing in the Community
A Local Commitment
Atrium Medical Center (Atrium) is a dedicated supporter of many community programs and endeavors. By partnering with the Greater Miami Valley YMCA to build the Atrium YMCA on our campus, we are providing area residents with an all-in-one facility that promotes a healthy lifestyle. Atrium is also committed to participating in beneficial community programs like Junior Achievement.
Atrium partnered with the Great Miami Valley YMCA to build a new YMCA on our campus. The Atrium YMCA, scheduled to open in summer 2008, is a 67,000 square-foot building located on ten acres at the north end of the campus. Facility amenities include a wellness center with a full array of the latest exercise and weight training equipment, a lap pool with a separate instructional and recreational pool, a full-sized gymnasium, cycling room, and much more. The Atrium YMCA also houses the Atrium Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy team, along with a child care center. This partnership exemplifies the Atrium vision of building a vibrant and innovative health center for area communities.
Atrium is committed to investing in programs that serve neighboring communities. The Junior Achievement program educates and inspires young people to succeed in a global economy. Junior Achievement places volunteers in local school districts to teach courses in business and economics. Programs begin at the elementary school level and continue through middle and high school. The focus of the program is to teach business skills, work readiness, and financial responsibility. The hospital has played an active role in the Junior Achievement program by participating on the Board of Directors since its inception in 1938, as well as by supporting the Junior Achievement annual campaign each year. Atrium is dedicated to providing resources to support beneficial community programs like Junior Achievement.
