The Wilbur and Mary Jean Cohen Women’s Center
Atrium Women's Center is named for Wilbur and the late Mary Jean Cohen, Middletown residents who donated their time and resources to the community for more than 40 years. They gave generously to Atrium Medical Center, formerly known as Middletown Regional Hospital.
Mr. Cohen served on the Middletown Regional Hospital and Middletown Regional Health System Boards of Directors and the Atrium Medical Center Foundation Board. For many years, Mrs. Cohen served as a member of the hospital auxiliary.
The Cohens' support of the hospital and our Women's Center exemplifies their dedication to improving the health and wellness of their community. We are grateful to them, as well as other Women's Center donors, for their generosity and compassion.
Focusing on You
Because waiting for results is often the most challenging aspect of any medical test, diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds are reviewed and discussed with patients before they leave the Women’s Center. Reports may even arrive at a physician’s office before the patient makes it home.
We typically evaluate screening mammograms within two to four days and send normal results to the physician as soon as the images are reviewed. If the results are abnormal, we call the physician immediately and contact the patient directly by letter.
