Atrium Medical Center offers resources to help patients and their loved ones to cope with diseases and conditions of the nervous system, including the brain and spine, and learn more about their condition.

Community Education

Neuroscience Institute physicians and staff are committed to helping our communities learn more about brain and spine health. We frequently make presentations and work with area media to share our experience. These media stories offer valuable information.

Fidelity Health Care

Fidelity Health Care provides personalized, in-home care for patients who are recovering from a stroke, brain and spine surgery and other neurological conditions. 

For stroke patients

Fidelity helps patients regain abilities lost to stroke as they recover in the comfort of their own homes. Nursing and social services and speech, occupational and physical therapy support the patient’s journey of recovery. The Vestibular Program helps to improve balance and reduce the risk of falls. 

For patients with brain or spine tumors

Fidelity offers patients with cancer in-home chemotherapy, nutritional assessment, symptom management and pain control, community resources, spiritual and emotional support and more. Fidelity’s wound-care program offers advanced technology to improve the quality and speed of healing. The Advanced Illness Management program focuses on enhancing quality of life for patients and their families.

Medical and occupational equipment 

Medical and occupational equipment can also be provided. Walking aids, wheelchairs, hospital beds, occupational therapy items, a reacher or dressing stick and more allow patients to be independent in their care and daily living.

Independent Care Services 

Independent Care Services provided by Fidelity offer companion services, bathing, meal preparation and housekeeping to support not only the patient, but also a caregiver and family.
