With the addition of cardiac surgery, Atrium Surgical Services offers a comprehensive array of surgical services.
Surgery Services Include:
Earlier, More Accurate Diagnosis of Lung Cancer: Endobronchial Ultrasound
Lung cancer is often diagnosed after it has spread. Atrium Medical Center offers endobronchial ultrasound, which helps patients with lung and lymph node tumors get diagnosed more accurately, and sooner, so they have more treatment options. With endobronchial ultrasound, Atrium Medical Center physicians can obtain tissue or fluid samples from the lungs and surrounding lymph nodes without surgery.
Pain Management Center
Atrium's Pain Management Center has a board-certified interventional pain management physician who treats back and neck pain from herniated discs, degenerative discs, joint degeneration, and previous back or neck surgeries that previously failed. The center is open four days a week to perform a large variety of pain management services.
Atrium Medical Center was designed to offer amenities for patients’ family and friends. To accommodate the requests of family and friends, visitation at Atrium Medical Center is 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Admitted patients have private rooms, with bathrooms in each room, and pull-out beds for family and friends.
Atrium has several large, centralized waiting areas with wireless centers to help make friends and family members comfortable and stay connected. At Atrium Medical Center, beepers are provided to family members to notify them if the physician or staff needs to talk with them. The beepers can be taken anywhere within the main building without losing reception.
