Atrium Medical Center Names Carol J. Turner As Next President and CEO
Middletown, Ohio, December 6, 2010 – Atrium Medical Center announced today that Carol J. Turner has been named the next President and CEO as of January 1, 2011, following Douglas W. McNeill’s retirement from Atrium at the end of the year. She is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the hospital. Turner began her career 30 years ago at Middletown Regional Hospital and subsequently moved to the new Atrium Medical Center.
“We are pleased to announce that Carol Turner will be the next President and CEO of Atrium Medical Center,” said James Akers, chair of the Atrium Health System Board of Directors. “Carol’s ability, vision, and long standing commitment to our region will continue to serve us well into the future.”
Turner said, “I look forward to the opportunity to lead Atrium Medical Center in fulfilling our mission of building healthier communities. Our entire hospital team remains committed to always placing patients first with excellent, innovative care that benefits all the residents of southwest Ohio.”
Turner holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Dayton and a Masters of Science degree in Health Administration from Central Michigan University. She has served in a variety of executive leadership roles over the years. Turner has been active in the community, currently serving on the Lebanon Otterbein Board and previously on others including the Coffman YMCA Board, American Red Cross, and Middletown Lyric Theater Board.
